The Sky Captured My Attention
My, it's cold
even with the sun shining.
As I was driving home this evening
the sky captured my attention.
My mind was traveling in many directions,
but again, the sky captured my attention.
It drew me into its beauty.
I wonder if others saw this as I did....in awe!
The overall sky was still a beautiful powder blue
with very dark clouds rolling in
streaking across the sky.
The sun got caught in the clouds
as it was setting.
It took my breath.
Silver linings and brilliant colors came bursting through
making the beautiful shape of the clouds stand out.
It was so graceful yet so bold.
I had to stop
and feast my soul.
God drew me away from my many thoughts
to clear my head and give me peace.
If only for a moment
the beauty I saw took top priority.
What peace, what excitement.
I love the contrasts,
the quiet peaceful movements.
How do you describe the feeling?
Painting also captures that feeling for me,
and I hope for you.
I remember so vividly the combination of colors.
I will tuck that in my book of memories
to experiment with the paint brush.
Be ready to say WOW...when you feel it.
All because the sky captured my attention
