Cedar Crest Lodge

Cedar Crest Lodge sets atop a hill overlooking the beauty of lakes, meadows, and rolling hills of the serene Kansas countryside. Opened in 1984 as the personal home of Harold and Mary Jo Leisure and a painting studio in which Mary Jo could teach her soft, flowing painting style, it also offers lodging for students who wish to attend one of her seminars.

The studio is roomy, well-lit, with wall-to-wall windows, making this a wonderful place to spend a few days immersed in the joy of decorative painting

Cedar Crest Lodge is located 4 miles east of Pleasanton, Kansas off Hwy 69, approximately 45 minutes south of Overland Park. If you prefer to fly, book your flight to the MCI Airport in Kansas City, Missouri. This is north of Kansas City and 90 miles from Cedar Crest. Matt Cunningham (new owner) will make arrangements to have someone pick you up at the airport. An additional $50.00 for the round trip will be added to your fee for transportation to and from the airport.

Make your plans to arrive the day before the class begins and depart the morning after the seminar is finished

Each seminar is 5 days in length. The cost is $595 which includes lodging, meals, and the class fee. Project surfaces are extra.
